Croft Junior School March into the Semi-Finals with a 4-1 win over Lower Farm Academy
Schools Cup 2025 Quarter-Final Report
Well, what a magnificent advertisement for schools football at Croft Junior School on Tuesday 18 November. The home side dominated from the first whistle – and only a quite extraordinary goalkeeping display kept Lower Farm Academy in the contest during the opening exchanges.

Croft’s attacking intent was clear, wave after wave of pressure, but the Lower Farm custodian – and we must credit him – produced save after save of the highest quality. But class told, and Max broke the deadlock with a well-taken opener. Ronnie doubled the advantage – his first of the afternoon – before Oscar made it three.

Lower Farm rallied briefly, pulling one back to make it 3-1, and you wondered – just wondered – might there be a twist in this tale? But no. Ronnie settled any nerves with his second goal of the game, and that’s 4-1, game over.
So Croft Junior School march into the semi-finals, where they’ll face St Nicholas Primary – themselves impressive 6-0 victors over Chetwynd. Mark it in your diary – that promises to be quite a contest.
