Year 5/6 Visit the Theatre

On Wednesday we took 97 Year 5 and 6 children to Bedworth Civic Hall to see the panto ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ performed by PR Productions. As the company is spearheaded by one of our parents we were lucky enough to be able to offer the tickets at a reduced price. The excitement from the moment the children arrived in school was palpable, and the coach ride there was full of anticipation. We were not disappointed as were treated to a wonderful performance full of audience interaction, great songs and brilliant jokes. Many of our group had never been to a live theatre performance before and to see their rapt enjoyment, awe and wonder was brilliant. Just to add to the experience two of our pupils were part of the cast playing villagers, Elsie and Lila! To see their fellow pupils perform in such a brilliant panto was so impressive. The children’s behaviour was exemplary and a great time was had by all. Oh no it wasn’t!
